Maybe the four year gap between trip to Ireland made us look back and decide it was time for a return to Cognac, the previous french trip had been to Evreux in 2003, and it was 10 years since the first Coup in 1999.

With Les Hiboux no longer available, we stayed at a small Chateau Hotel above Cognac itself – Domaine du Breuil.

Plenty of Pineau de Charante, wine and cold beer in the town square – and great food in the Hotel.
